Digraph Flashcards for Kindergarten and Grade 1
Digraph flashcards are a simple way to help children recognize digraphs and read words more quickly. They give children regular practice with common digraph sounds and help build phonics and reading skills.
Digraphs are an important part of learning to read. When children learn to recognize a digraph as one sound, they can begin to decode words more easily.
Our digraph flashcards include both beginning digraph words and ending digraph words for each digraph. This gives children practice with digraphs in different parts of a word.
Two Levels of Digraph Flashcards
We designed these phonics flashcards for two learning levels.
Beginner Level
The beginner cards focus on one digraph at a time. They use simple words that children can sound out using 3 sound/letter chunks.
These cards are a good choice for children who are just starting to learn digraphs.
Intermediate Level
The intermediate cards use words with 4–5 sound/letter chunks. They give children more practice with digraphs in longer words.
These cards are suitable for children who already know some common digraphs and are ready for more reading practice.
What Is Included?
The set includes 27 sheets, with 4 flashcards on each sheet.
These digraph flashcards for kindergarten and Grade 1 can be used for quick reading practice at home, in the classroom, or during phonics lessons. Children can look at each card, say the digraph sound, and read the word.
